Concrete Casting with Ken Horne @ The Factory, Wortley Road, July 14th 10am-1pm & July 21st 10am-12 noon:

Ken will introduce you to concepts of sculpture and take you on the journey of casting with concrete. He will teach you how to mix various concrete types from rough and knarly, to smooth and clean. You will learn to cast concrete using various self made moulds as well as using found objects to cast in and around.

The workshop is split into two sessions a week apart, so that the concrete has time to set (go off) and the second session gives you the opportunity to apply various substances to the surface to gain a variety of finishes.

The course will begin at 10am sharp and run until 1pm on the 14th of July and 10am-12noon on the 21st of July. The workshops will take place at The Factory, Old Wortley Road, Rotherham S61 1LZ.

The price for the two sessions will be £35 which will cover the teaching, equipment and materials. You can buy your ticket via Eventbrite here.
