Art Workshop: Painting Proportions

Ever painted or drawn from a photo only to discover that the proportions are all wrong and everything looks skewed and unnatural? Come join us at thirdspace this Saturday, November 26 from 10am-12pm for an upside down painting workshop with artist Greta Vilidaitė (RockStone Art) and learn how to paint or draw using the upside down method for more accurate proportions.

In this workshop with former neuroscientist and impressionist artist Greta, you will learn how (and WHY) painting upside down can trick your brain into improving your accuracy dramatically. Whether you are a seasoned painter, or a beginner, drawing accuracy can always be improved upon. It will also be a great introduction to painting in oils if you have not tried that before and the result will be a beautiful, dramatic painting of a galloping horse.

We have spare oil paints, easels, brushes, canvas panels and palettes but if you can bring your own - please do (especially brushes!). The workshop can also be completed in acrylics if you prefer.

Date: 26th November, 10am-12pm

Venue: thirdspace

Unit 50-51, Rotherham Market S65 1EL
