ROAR is run by a small group of passionate people who believe that art is transformative and integral to the human experience.
Rotherham Open Arts Renaissance is a CIC, operating as a membership based infrastructure organisation within the voluntary sector. We are funded as an Arts Council's National Portfolio Organisation.
Who We Are
ROAR is a non-profit arts organisation based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Our mission is to support and grow creative and exciting art. We believe we can help revitalize the area by supporting local artists in their professional growth and ambitions. By integrating the arts into the community and economy, we aim to help the arts thrive and enable artists to make a living.
What We Do
We want to build a strong, lively art community where the definition of art is broader and more inclusive. Our goal is for everyone to see art as essential. We aim to create strong art networks and connections across Rotherham, with our stories and conversations being part of the national art scene. Additionally, by addressing important issues, we hope to contribute to a fairer and more compassionate society.
